Dear Coastal House Shares/Marc,

I just want to send an email as I reflect on my time in Brighton for the last two years. I tend to get quite stressed about finding a property to rent that matches my standards and thinking about what if something goes wrong, “will the landlord help me?”. And quite frankly, you have exceeded any expectations on how smooth and easy it was to live in a share house.

It takes me some time to get use to living with new people, and having a landlord that made it comfortable for me has been incredible! I realised that I found a GEM in the ocean! A landlord that cared, that wasn’t greedy, that respected his tenants, that had his own high standards of how he wants people to live. You have simply set the standard that I will continue to search for in my renting journey. And for that I cannot be more appreciative of your efforts and support during my tenancy.

Your property is so well looked after, warm and comfortable and you were always responsive, approachable and respectful.

It’s been a pleasure to have you as my landlord, so for that I say thank you. I wouldn’t have moved out if I hadn’t found a job so far away. The hardest part of leaving was having to say goodbye to the landlord that helped me through my hardest moments while I moved away from my family.

You always went above and beyond.

The entire experience was stress-free and infinitely better than my last in the Brighton area. Marc was an exceptional landlord – always quick to address any maintenance issues, incredibly helpful, friendly and highly accommodating.

The property itself was well-maintained, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. I’ve rented properties for 12 years in multiple cities in the UK – this has been my best.
